Migration and Immigration

LITTLE CHINA TOWN ON NGUYEN TRAI STREET

This picture was taken on Nguyen Trai Street, District 1, where you can find a lot of Chinese restaurants owned by Chinese people who immigrated and have settled in this area for a long time.

This is on the other side of the same street and you will see there are also many hotels which belong to Chinese people. The way their names were written in both Vietnamese and Chinese show that the Chinese people who immigrated there have tried to adapt to new environment in Vietnam.

This is in front of a popular buffet restaurant near one end of the street. This area is always crowded with pedestrians and vehicles, especially at night because many people come here to enjoy Chinese food and having cozy Asian atmosphere.

The Water Cycle Poem

The Water Cycle Poem
Water covers three-thirds of the Earth’s surface
It changes forms from liquid to vapor to solid
This water cycle is a closed process
Which is continuous and endless
Water from lake, sea and ocean evaporates
To make vapor rise up to the sky
That is why we call it evaporation
Vapor then cools down to make clouds
In the process of condensation
Heavy clouds meet strong wind and fall down
In form of hail or rain
Throughout the precipitation process
Water is now running down mountains, hills and slopes
What we call runoff on surface or underground
It keeps flowing out to open water
And follow the same cycle
To change water again in form and shape
Making it an important part of nature life.
