1.What physical geographic features have aided the development of the United States?
- The United States supports itself with trading, manufacturing, ranching, mining, fishing and shipbuilding. It has long coast line in the east and the west of the country, so fishing and shipbuilding are its main industries. Most of the area are high and rocky mountain, therefore farming is not developed. They also grow herds of cattle near the lakes and rivers because they provide fresh water, plant and grasses for grazing. Manufacturing is also developed in the Midwest such as the automobiled industry. Some Gulf States in the South drill for oil and minerals like coal.

2.What physical geographic features have aided the development of Vietnam?
- Vietnam's main economy sectors are agriculture, fishing, forestry, trading, mining and oil drilling. Vietnam has a lot of plains and good soil for farming. The suitable areas for developing agriculture are usually near lakes and river delta which provide more nutrients for the soil and make it more fertile for growing plants. The long coast line in the East supply resources of seafood and oil that help develop fishing and oil drilling. The country has complex waterway that support both domestic and international trading. Vietnam also has plenty of natural resources including minerals and thick forests that are suitable for mining and forestry.

Similarities:
 Both countries have long coast line that is very useful for fishing, oil drilling and other marine related industries. Both countries use waterway as a main means of trading.

Differences:
Agriculture is Vietnam's most important industry while the U.S. is very strong at manufacturing.Vietnam has a lot of natural resources which can help mining and mineral exporting develop but the U.S is not in most areas, so they have to try other ways to adapt well to it and make use of all the available resources.
